GREEN LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION

HERITAGE BANK MEETING ROOM

The regular meeting of the Green Lake Property Owners Association for April 2014, was called to order by Chairperson J. Duininck.

Members present were: B. Aamot, G. Holmstron, T. Johnson, Dr. T. Lange, S. Linder, B. Schemel, V, Sechler, R. Schneider, and T. Frazee 

Absent was. B. Schweitzer. 

Absent with Call in saying they would be absent: E. Roberts.

Roger Imdieke, Kandiyohi County Commissioner, was present as a guest.

The agenda for the April meeting was approved as mailed out to Board Members.

The minutes of the regular September Board meeting was approved by motion of T. Johnson, seconded by G. Holmstrom. Motion carried.

T. Frazee presented the Financial Report for the April 2014.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

Chairperson J. Duininck read a Thank You from the Middle for Crow River Water Shed District for the donation of $100.00 for the planting of a tree at their new facilities from the Green Lake Property Owners.

Chairperson J. Duininck read a letter from Mary McClure Bibby, who lives at 10000 Lake Avenue South which was written to the Mayor Dennis Baker regarding the inspection of boats fore aquatic invasive species at Spicer boat landing. Ms. Bibby wishes to protect Green Lake for the future years. This letter was forward to the DNR office in St. Paul of which a reply was receive from Steve Hurst stating they (DNR) are doing everything possible to protect the lakes as there is a surcharge on boat fees used only for this protection.

 

REPORTS:

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Motion by R. Schneider, seconded by G. Holmquist to move $8,000.00 from the Money

Market Account to the STOP ZEBRA MUSSEL ACCOUNT. We are a 501-C project so this is

Permitted. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the changing of the name GREEN LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCATION TO GREEN LAKE ASSOCIATION. B. Aamot will check for name changes along

With G. Holmstrom. This will be presented at the May Board meeting. When approved by the Board it will be presented to the Members of the Annual Meeting for ratification. When passed, it will take place on 01 June 2015.

A request was received from LET"S GO FISHING program. The Board did not feel this was

Part of our program. We had received a request five years for the same.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

J. Duininck presented to the Board the meetings, workings of this past winter by/between the Green Lake Property Owners Association, Kandiyohi County, Middle Fork Crow River and the City of Spicer. Discussion was held about the Green Lake Property Owners Association to purchase a High Pressure Hot Water Boat Washing Equipment which meets the Standards of the DNR. The GLPOA Board voted to donate the High Pressure Power Wash Machine to the City of Spicer. The GLPOA will Release a press release of the day it is in Spicer. J. Duininck and T. Frazee will meet with the City of Spicer to work out details for the machine, who will care for it, use of it with "provisions."

Discussion about workers to be trained in the unit of the High Pressure/Hot Water Machine was discussed. Motion by S. Linder, seconded by B. Aamot that the Green Lake Property Owners Association will donated up to, but not exceed $17,000.00 for workers for the summer of 2014 to the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District,.

Discussion was held about the Annual Meeting on Saturday, 21 June with Breakfast at 8:15 a. m. and the Annual Meeting to Follow. Bruce Kleven will be the main speaker for the event. T. Frazee will put out a listing to the Board of members who terms will expire the end of this fiscal year which is 31 May 1014.

Discussion was held with Commissioner R. Imdieke and G. Holmquist about Sanitation Re-cycle program for Green Lake people. T. Frazee stated an article will be in the May issue of the Green Lake Breeze about recycling.

Chairperson J. Duininck reported about the Sale of "T" Shirts, polo Shirts, and sweatshirt which "may" provide the Green Lake Property Owners additional revenue. All orders would be make on line with the clothing delivered to your home. Discussion at the May meeting.

Chairperson J. Duininck stated he had a request from the Spicer Commercial of a possible donation to the Dock in Spicer. No action was taken.

Discussion was held about the purchase of a second "matt" for the power washing machine which would cost about $1,200.00. No action taken.

The May meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 17 May 1014, at Heritage Bank at 8:00 a. m.
