SATURDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER 2013 - 8:00 A. M.

The regular meeting of the Green Lake Property Owners Association for September 2013, was called to order by Chairperson J. Duininck.

Members present: B. Aamot, J. Duininck, G. Holmstrom, T. Johnson, B. Schweitzer, B. Schemel, and T. Frazee.

Absent: Dr. T. Lange.

Absent with call in saying they would be absent: E. Roberts, R. Schneider, and V. Sechler.

No outside guests were present at the meeting. The agenda for the September meetings was approved by consent.

The minutes of the regular 17 August 2013 meeting were approved by motion of T. Johnson, seconded by B. Aamot. Motion carried.

T. Frazee presented the Financial report for August 2013, showing the fund balance for the month.

Motion to approve the financial report by G. Holmstrom, seconded by T. Johnson, Motion carried.

T. Frazee presented information about the Patrol Service which will begin on 01 October. A total of 127 people have signed up for winter patrol. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff Office has been notified of the person who is doing patrol for 2013-2014 year. This person has full identification with him at all time.



Chairperson J. Duininck read an email from J. Tomczik about the articles in the Green Lake Breeze, saying thank you for great work.





The Board approved to change the name of the Green Lake Property Owners Association to Green Lake Association. This will be explained to the membership in the first newsletter of May, 2014. This will be placed on the agenda for the Annual meeting on Saturday, 21 June 2014 for approval for the change.

T. Frazee stated to the Board this is the 49th year of the Green Lake Property Owners Association.

B. Aamot stated this approval must be made with the State of Minnesota, that no other organization has the name of "Green Lake Association" there will be a filing fee with this change. R. Schneider will present to the Board a resolution for the change.

Discussion was held for the appointment of B. Kleven as our Lobbyist during the session of 2014 in St. Paul. After much discussion by the Board, motion by T. Johnson, seconded by G. Holmstrom to meet and negotiate with Bruce Kleven for the position. Motion carried.



Chairperson J. Duininck informed the Board of the meeting with the Middle Fork Water Shed District Board along with T. Frazee, attending. The MFWSD asked for a subcommittee meeting with J. Duininck and T. Frazee. Also invited, which he was present, was A. Latham. At this meeting, the MFWSD Sub Committee stated they would not be able to have a power washing unit on their property, nor would they be interested in being the local governmental unit (lgu). The GLPOA committee thanked them for meeting with them but disappointed that they would not accept the leadership of this position.

Chairperson J. Duininck and T. Frazee met with the City of Spicer to discuss concerns of the Boat access to be built in Spicer. After these discussion J. Duininck asked the City of Spicer if they would be interested in working with the GLPOA in being the local governmental unit for 2014 year. The Board voted to participate with GLPOA with this program. T. Frazee will meet with City Administrator to complete the application.

Discussion was held about the purchase of a self-contained power washing machine to assist all the lakes of Kandiyohi County. Motion by G. Holmstrom, seconded by B. Schweitzer that the GLPOA order a self-contained power washing machine, delivered and paid for in April 2014. Motion carried.

Chairperson B. Schemel stated to the Board that an additional $7,000.00 will be needed to purchase the chemical Renovate Max "G" for treatment this October. The Board, by motion of G. Holmstrom, seconded by T. Johnson, gave T. Frazee permission to transfer funds from the general to the A.I.S. fund so we do not carry a negative balance.

T. Frazee informed the Board that membership of the GLPOA will send a check in the amount of $2,065.00 to the Walleye Fishing Group as a pass through for 2013. T. Frazee informed the Board of the fishing information as placed in the September Green Lake Breeze regarding the stocking of fish in Green Lake during 2013.
