Reports:

OLD BUSINESS:

T. Frazee reported that the GLPOA has rented a trailer for two months, ending on 22 September to assist the Minnesota DNR, Spicer Office with the use of the power wash machine. Cost of the trailer is $184.86 per month ending in September.

Chairperson J. Duininck reported that R. Schneider and T. Frazee met with the Spicer City officials along with members of the DNR from St. Pau about the expansion of the Saulsbury Beach access. The DNR along with a donation of land from Spicer have developed a new parking area. This area will increase the parking by "about" ten spaces. Chairperson J. Duininck will send a letter to the DNR along with to the city of Spicer about our concerns of the proposal.

It was discussed to purchase power washing units for the boat access. This suggestion will be tabled to the September meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairperson J. Duininck reported to the Board of the Legacy Committee which included Board Members J. Duininck, S. Linder, B. Schweitzer, R. Schneider, T. Johnson, R. Schneider, and T. Frazee. This committee began to discuss Green Lake for the next 100 years, what the goals would be, how we would enhance, protect, and restore Green Lake. This committee will continue to meet, providing information to the membership when the plans are developed.

Discussion was held of the meeting between the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District and Green Lake Property Owners Association of how we would be able to monitor boats coming/going from Green Lake at boat access. Chairperson J. Duininck and T. Frazee met with the Board of Managers from the Water Shed District. After exchanging ideas, it was suggested to have a Sub Committee from the Water Shed District and the Green Lake Property Owners Association to work on the details reporting back to their boards at the September meeting. It is the feeling of the G. L. P. O. A. Board that we need to work on a monitoring program at all boat access on Green Lake. The G.L.P.O.A. would employ workers to power wash boats for 134 days, two eight hour shifts. The washing of Boats would be at the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District office. The power washers would cost "approximately" $40,000.00.

MOTION BY G. Holmstron, seconded by E. Roberts that the position of Patrol for 2013/2014 year be offered to Mike Behan for the salary of $2,500.00. T. Frazee will meet with Mr. Behan on the final details. Motion carried.

Discussion was held to change the name of the GREEN LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION TO GREEN LAKE ASSOCIATION as this would invite outside membership to join our organization. This was recommended by motion of B. Schweitzer, seconded by T. Johnson. This will be a study with final information in April 2014 GREEN LAKE BREEZE. Motion carried.

By consent, the September Board meeting will be changed from Saturday, 21 September to 14 September at 8:00 a. m. at DEIDRA'S.

Chairperson J. Duininck asked the Board to consider placing the GLPOA Breeze via Email for 2014 year. Will be discussed at the September Board Meeting. The GLPOA Board discussed donating a tree to the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District for their new facilities. Unanimous Consent for approval.

Articles for the September issue of the Green Lake Breeze are due on Monday, 26 August 2013 by 9:00 a. m.

Meeting adjourned.
