R. Schneider discussed the A.I.S. program (Eurasian Water Milfoil and Zebra Mussels) within Green Lake.

Discussion was held about the volunteers who do the treatment in the early hours of the lake, either we need to find additional works or consider hiring a professional organization to do the work.

T. Frazee explained the cost to treat Green Lake, with the herbicide Renovate as to being $16,000.00 for the 2009 year. The discussion was held as to do we (home owners of Green Lake) wish to continue to spend these dollars each year. If the answer is "yes" we need to look at how we receive the monies from the home owners. Two possible ideas are (1) send a letter to all within the data base explaining that in 2009 we had 16.6% of the owners who contributed to the fund and/or 2) use a taxation method through the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District.

The Board felt we should wait until after the DNR inspects the lake, which is scheduled for June 8th and/or 9th. At that time we will know if the treatment of Renovate was a success last fall. After that notification we will attempt to contact Dick Sternberg to make his presentation to all interested people of the lake regarding milfoil and/or mussels.

Other items to discuss was how to get volunteers involved. P. Spilseth asked about using the Volunteer LAKE WATCH GROUP to hold meetings to get information to the people around the lake. P. Spilseth will begin working on this program.

R. Stehn suggested we contact the DNR about "containment of lakes" which are infested with Mussels. Will check with the DNR about any lakes who might have mussels which have used the containment program.

Gary Danielson, Public Works Director of Kandiyohi County, presented information about the Sewer District. The hook up of the City of Kandiyohi plus Diamond Lake. Information sheets of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Flow shows a decrease from 2002 to 2010 year of 9.2% the flow during the summer is up with the winter usage down within the lakes of the District. Discussion was held about water/sewer charges within the District, the tax statement which shows $616.00 on each Green Lake statement is from the previous system. This will stay until the year of 2021, which will be lifted! Many informative questions were presented to G. Danielson.

Motion by G. Roverud, second by R. Minke to continue with the water testing of the Middle Fork Crow River Water Shed District in the amount of $203.50 for the 2010 summer. Motion carried.
